January 12, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join Ironwood Tree Experience Youth Action Corps and staff for a refreshing two-mile stroll along a section of the “Chuk-son Trail”. This interactive nature and history walk begins at El Tiradito Shrine in Barrio Viejo and ends at Mercado San Agustin in Menlo Park. If you are interested in history, nature, architecture and culture then you’ll love this interpretive walk through the heart of Tucson!

The “Chuk-son Trail” is an informal interpretive trail meandering along the historically fascinating avenues, arroyos, and alleys of Tucson. The trail highlights various humans and ecology of the past and the present, and describes what makes our place in the Sonoran Desert special. Participants may walk the entire route or just parts of it. The Chuk-son Trail was created and is guided by trained Youth Action Corps and Ironwood Tree Experience staff.
