Like many creeks and rivers in the Tucson region, this sensitive riparian area once flowed for most of the year. Due to heavy pumping of groundwater, Tanque Verde Creek only flows after major storms. During this fun and enlightening event, we will explore our connections to flowing desert creeks and discover ways to help restore them.

Make sure to bring: 1) Comfortable walking shoes and layers to stay warm.2) Headlamp or flashlight and 3) Camping chair or blanket to sit on.
