Activities for all ages, fitness levels and interests at Tucson Medical Center!
Activities will begin with a sunrise meditation in the TMC Labyrinth and interactive music-making.
Walkers will find activities along a two-mile walk/jog along the paved river path, including art and exploration for all ages (along this walk, participants will be able to place carnations in the “Blessings Tree” at the intersection of Grant and Craycroft).
Those seeking a more strenuous outing can participate in a Walk & Run led by Everyone Runs and Fleet Feet. Runners and walkers will meet at the TMC parking lot at the corner of Glenn & Wyatt. We will leave to the Rillito River Path at 8:30 a.m. and return to the Beyond activities at 9:30 a.m. Please sign-in at the Everyone Runs running booth for maps and to join with other runners and walkers. While all of this is happening, clinical staff from TMC, HealthSouth, Encore Senior Living, Palo Verde Hospital, Saguaro Physicians, National Association for Mental Illness, the Southern Arizona Mental Health Coalition, the Southern Arizona Chapter of the American Heart Association and others will provide blood pressure checks, cholesterol screenings, balance and strength testing, mental health resources, massage therapy, health and wellness tips, and more! Did we mention Zumba and Jazzercise?
And, if that’s not enough, children will get to show their stuff at 9 a.m. as they make their way through Kids Health and Exercise Stations put on by Grow2BeFit! Join us …. and Go BEYOND.
