Pan-African Dance Workshops with Uzo

October 23 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

These workshops provide the opportunity to experience a range of dances and passport movements seen across West Africa, facilitated with a unique style of blended sharing using songs, movement and dances from Nigeria, West Africa and beyond. The crippling fear that prevents the natural state of the dancing body will be explored with ease allowing a gentle progression of the dance movements with the use of the vibrations of the instruments. Come and experience self transformation facilitated by Uzo Nwankpa, a global figure who is merging ancient knowledge with innovative healing practices.

Uzo Nkem Nwankpa is a passionate and inspiring dancer, teacher and an advocate for healing through indigenous music and dance (culture). Originally from Enugu, Nigeria, West Africa, Uzo has infused her education with her passion for music and dance to create a project that promotes health awareness with the use of old technologies utilized by indigenous people all over the world. She has a strong passion and belief in the power of music and dance!
